About This Recipe
Let me tell you something — this Zucchini Orange Bread Recipe is one of those quiet, feel-good treasures that surprised me the first time I baked it. I remember having a few zucchinis lying around and some oranges we’d picked up on sale. I wasn’t really planning anything fancy… but what came out of the oven? Pure gold. Moist, citrusy, and just the right amount of sweet. It’s the kind of loaf you nibble on with tea in the afternoon or sneak a bite of while making breakfast for the kids. My husband, Sultan, kept going back for another slice — that’s when I knew it was a winner!

2 eggs
½ cup vegetable oil
½ cup granulated sugar
¼ cup brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
¼ cup orange juice (fresh)
1 tbsp orange zest
1 ¼ cups grated zucchini (well-drained)
1 tbsp raw sugar
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9x5” loaf pan with parchment paper. Grate zucchini and squeeze out excess moisture with a clean towel.
Step 2
In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, oil, sugars, vanilla, orange juice, and zest until smooth.
Step 3
In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
Step 4
Gently stir dry ingredients into wet mixture until just combined — do not overmix.
Step 5
Add the grated zucchini and stir until evenly distributed.
Step 6
Pour batter into the loaf pan. Sprinkle raw sugar on top (optional). Bake for 50–55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Step 7
Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Slice once fully cooled.

Secret Tips
Here’s what I’ve learned after baking this loaf more times than I can count:
Squeeze your grated zucchini. It holds a ton of water — don’t skip this step.
Zest first, then juice the orange. Way easier that way!
Want extra zing? Add a tiny bit of orange extract.
For a bakery-style look, sprinkle raw sugar on top before baking.
