2 cups cooked shredded chicken
1/4 tsp garlic powder
Salt and black pepper, to taste
2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)
To Serve (Choose One):
4 buttermilk biscuits
2 cups cooked rice
4 slices of toasted bread
Puff pastry shells (store-bought or homemade)
Instructions
Step 1
In a large skillet, melt butter with olive oil over medium heat. Add mushrooms and bell peppers. Sauté for 5–6 minutes until softened.

Step 2
Sprinkle flour over the veggies and stir constantly for 1–2 minutes to form a roux.

Step 3
Gradually pour in chicken broth while whisking to avoid lumps. Simmer until slightly thickened, about 3–4 minutes.

Step 4
Reduce heat to low. Stir in the heavy cream, shredded chicken, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Let it warm through for 5 minutes.

Step 5
Top with fresh parsley and serve hot over biscuits, toast, or rice.
